Date the rate, marry the house!

When house shopping, the type of panel or wiring may not even be on your or your real estate agent's radar. That's why you have one of our team members, a licensed and insured electrician, walk through a prospective house during the inspection period. We can identify areas of concern which are outdated, incorrectly done, or just don't make sense. If we had a nickel for every house that was wired so you had to walk across a room to turn the light on, then we wouldn't have to work any more!

A recent project was a newly purchased house that had a new service upgrade due to solar panels, but the wire in the walls was the original 1965 wire, which doesn't have the appropriate size ground. This was a surprise to the new home owners and we jumped in to start this complete rewire (every outlet, switch, and light fixture) the day they closed on their home to have it completed before move in. This also was the perfect opportunity to install their EV charger, some outdoor patio lights, and outdoor entertaining space.

Having us do a walk through before you sell your house can also help identify the changes a prospective buyer will ask for or items that will help show your house to it's best. Loose receptacles (where the plugged in electronic keeps falling out of), dark living rooms that could benefit from can lights, making sure there's safety lights outside all are common reccomendations. And putting new outlets/switches has the same effect as a fresh coat of paint- especially if you replace outdated almond with a fresh screwless look! Under cabinet lighting, updated fixtures, and USB C outlets all help add to that seamless polished look you want when selling your home.
